I reported on work on Thursday with a bit of dread, worried about being clumsy and screwing up the operations on the first day. But the first day went pretty ok! (for me at least, Unice got a captain who’s biased against part-timers XD). And so were the 2nd and 3rd day. All the captains I worked with were nice people! David, James, Tom and Vineesh they were all so patient with me even though I made mistakes here and there. I’m secretly touched! Those are interesting people, David is an Indian who can speak Chinese! His jokes are quite cold, but he’s secretly kind to the new comers. Tom’s easy-going and I love his 联邦腔,‘拿新加坡公民做么! 我回去马来西亚退休几好喔。’
The second day, after working full split shift 11-4pm and 6-1am, we were dead man. Then came imported beer from the bar! Holy! The beer is better than Hoegarten, I wish Patrick was there. Even Unice the non-beer drinker likes it. And you know what! We caught the wine sommelier drinking Tiger Beer! Despise him la! But he claims its smoother. Still! Despise. Tsktsk.
During operations I made mistakes like pouring water for the guest and dripping a few drops on her hand. Seeing that she calmly used the napkin to wipe it up, I quickly walked away. Hahaha! And I almost toppled Wong Lilin’s friend’s glass. She didn’t look pleased. -_- I was also very noisy when clearing the settings. Things that Mr Goh would murder me for basically. Imagine the horror if he ever decides to visit and he gives me the deadly STARE while I pour water for him. (!!!) I think I’d pass him the bottle and ask him to pour himself.
Anyway, I think I learnt alot working there. Hopefully I can stay there safely until SIP.

I wanted to talk about my new job, but there's so many things to say I need alot of willpower to start. So I will do that another day.
Here's a sculptor that makes art you'll enjoy, because he doesn't try to impose any awe-inspiring ideas on the audience. I'd suggest watching from 2min 30 seconds, and giving up if you're not interested by the 4th minute.
Sculpture that's truly moving

It's the flower season
and Pasir Ris is blooming like a garden. =)
It's a nice change from the rainy season. For awhile I thought the rainy weather is going to stay like that for the whole year.
By chance, I've got a temporary part-time job at a restaurant in Sentosa. Cheryl and Unice are going to be my colleagues! Haha might be quite havoc. FnB is not my cup of tea, but working at a proper restaurant should be a memorable experience. Besides, I intend to quit when school reopens.
Yes, I'm having a school break now. =D wahahaha...

Tattoos
I was browsing Deviantart yesterday when one tattoo caught my eye. I thought its quite nice,
at least it reflects some personality of the guy. Let's not debate about whether one should have a tattoo in the first place, cuz that's a personal choice. But let's talk about the design of The Tattoo thats going to stay with you for the rest of your life.
I think it should at least be beautiful.
Otherwise cute is accepted.
It should also be unique.

this kind of design i also like
Most importantly, it should be meaningful. Then I noticed that some angmohs like to tattoo Chinese words.
This one is one of the better ones already simply because it makes sense. Here's one that doesn't make sense at all.
Very curious right? So I clicked to see what the person has to say about her tattoo.
'Hmmm...lets see...they are, from top to bottom, Tiger, Rooster, Mother and Rain. My oldest daughter's chinese zodiac is Tiger, the youngest daughter's is Rooster, obviously since I have kids is why the 'Mother' is there and Rain? Well, my name is Rainbow...shortened to Rain most times by my friends.'
Omg...
Just because of that she tattooed 4 unrelated words on her arm. If her grandchildren were to ever understand Chinese they would laugh at their lousy grandmother.
