Hi everyone! Saying hi from Beijing! I'm pretty much settled down here already... Got a shock when I saw naked women walking around the 'open concept' shower room and naked women sleeping around me... But I'm used to it now!
Work is quite tiring. I'm at the hotel's buffet cafe now working 8 hr shift, stand until my legs ache like mad. Then quite alot of OTs. But life's good! I went sightseeing at a few places like Tian an men, Bird nest and Wang fu jing! okok talk again next time. I tell to upload photos if i can.

The celebration for Wanru and Derick's birthday went well! We managed to trick both of them into thinking we are celebrating each other's birthdays! So at the birthday song, the HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO..........., Derick shouted Wanru! and Wanru shouted Derick!
That worked because both their birthdays are so far away anyway! For the forfeit, we really 费尽心思... we made the 寿星s give out flyers at Plaza Sing entrace. Derick's one went: Hi! My name is Derick. I have receding hairline and nobody wants to be my friend. :( Haha... Alot of people smiled when they received it, even though they have worse receding hairline! One girl even turned back and asked if he needs a girlfriend. :O
Wanru's one was: Hi! I'm Ass Xiao Pi Gu. 萧琵谷。My friends are celebrating my birthday today. Wish my Happy Birthday! Most gave wierd expressions but one did wish her happy birthday.
Before that, Derick went to the bra section at Carrefour and made a fool of himself at our demand. Haha! He said very loudly, 'Wah $5 only! SO CHEAP!!!'
So thanks to our excellent planning, the Birthday Girl and Boy enjoyed themselves thoroughly! :D
Went K-boxing with Patrick and Derick after that. Teo Heng @ Katong is so much cheaper and better! You'd think Kbox has more songs right? But no, Kbox doesn't have Apologise and alot of other english songs which Teo Heng has.
We sang alot of old songs. There's one - 流星森林雨 by 陈晓东, which is very nice... I think its a classic which stood the test of time. Listen to it!

I came across an interesting article today on a research finding which showed that a man's DNA may affect his loyalty in a marriage. According to the research, there is a particular gene which affects a man's ability to stay committed to his wife. Those with 2 copies of the gene are 2 times more likely to experience 'marital dysfunctional'.
This gene is not rare by the way - 2 out of 5 men have at least a copy of it.
But that's not the main point. This may explain why we seem to follow our parent's footsteps, especially the part you dislike about them. Imagine growing up with an abusive father, you spend half your life hating him, only to inherit his genes and find yourself having the same tendency many years down the road.
That is excruciating pain.
Can our DNA affect our character? To a certain extent only, I guess. We are not born perfect anyway. Having seen the consequences which That Bad Gene can bring, I think we will only be more determined to overcome the problem.
