Took a ride on the Singapore Flyer yesterday! It was a 'surprise' for Patrick, but of course she realised it as soon as we were on the shuttle bus to Singapore Flyer.
There weren't many people so the 5 of us had the entire capsule to ourselves! Patrick, Doreen and Shuhan were quite freaked out even though the capsule was as steady as a rock. (omg omg its going UP!!!) If you're thinking of surprising your friend with the flyer, please check whether she's afraid of heights. lol
The view at the peak was pretty good. There's currently a student weekday promotion at $10, so try it if you're keen!

Hello! haven't updated for quite awhile, not that I've been very busy, but its the honeymoon period of my job so life is mundane and very balanced.
There's one thing though - I spend my skiving time trying to read the online Japanese newspapers. With the help of a very clever online dictionary, I can read interesting Japanese news! There was one about a cigarette vending machine which can recognise the buyer's age by scanning the face.
That function sucks however, so for quite some time its been selling cigarettes to many primary school kids. Then there's the big news in Japan today which is the arrest of a SMAP's member. For those who don't know, SMAP is like Japan's Westlife - slightly old but still popular. 木村拓栽 is one of the members. ANYWAY another member not him, was caught lying in a park naked.
He was screaming 'WHAT'S WRONG WITH BEING NAKED?!' when he was arrested by the police.
Yes, the Japanese are so amusing sometimes.

阿桑昨天因乳癌病逝了。新闻里面说她一直对病情保持低调，所以死讯来得很突然。

I'm going to buy 陈绮贞's new album! Its an impulse actually, because I've only begin to notice her 2 days ago. Like her voice and music though. She's one of the very few female 创作歌手 around.
I can never like an album for very long though. I get bored of a song after awhile. After the get-sick-of-it period, of course I listen to it again, but I can never feel the same about that song again.
That's like watching a movie or reading a book eh? The first time is always the most special. So buying the album is obviously not a good idea. But hopefully by supporting the original album once in a blue moon, the singers I like will keep making music.
By the way, meet Wee Min Yu, the Corporate Communications Officer of National Arts Council! Love my fancy job title.
